The Honourable Michael J. Ahern AO, (Chairman) is a former Premier of the State of Queensland, Australia. He holds Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree and an Honorary Doctorate from the Queensland University of Technology.  Mr Ahern was a pioneer in championing the State of Queensland’s technology strategy and as a result became Queensland’s first technology Minister.  Mr Ahern was also Minister for Industry, Minister for Environment, Minister for Health and the former State Treasurer.  He currently continues to work for the Department of The Premier and Cabinet of the Queensland Government as a Special Representative to the Middle East, Africa and India. The purpose of this position is to promote Trade and Investment for Queensland.  Mr Ahern also chairs a number of high profile boards and Government Bureaus.

Mr Bruce R. Holland, (Commercial Director) has over 25 years experience in the energy industry, and specialises in the commercial and marketing arrangements for exploration/production and the sale/purchase of crude oil, natural gas and electricity. Mr Holland spent over 12 years in senior commercial and operational roles with Santos (one of Australia’s top 3 listed oil & gas producers with over 50 years of successful operations). He also spent four years with the Hydro Electric Corporation and Aurora Energy in Tasmania where he was Project Director for major infrastructure projects and Group Manager of Business Development. Since 2000, he has been CEO of Elengas Consulting and Advisory Services, which is an energy consultancy predominantly providing upstream oil companies (such as Beach Petroleum and Stuart Petroleum) with marketing, commercial and strategic services. Mr Holland holds a degree in Commerce.

Mr Ibrahim H. Sleiman, (Director) and his family have excellent relations at Government and Royal levels throughout the Middle East. Introducing Novus Petroleum into the Middle East for an exploration and production contract 1996/97, these relationships add great value to the company. With over 30 years experience in the commercial market, Mr. Sleiman has a strong appreciation for the issues involved in the operation of complex business and competitive markets. Entrepreneurial in his approach, he also brings the opportunity to source substantial private funding to the company.
